SLC Help

I am currently working on my first addressable project, but I have one problem: I don’t know how to wire an SLC Loop, Is there a video or other resource that could steer me in the right direction? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

From what I’ve seen it should be as simple as wiring a 2-wire zone on a conventional panel: a pair of wires from the SLC loop terminals on the panel to the addressable module on a device (or just an addressable module such as a monitor module or control module). Make sure that polarity is observed just like with conventional systems too: negative to negative & positive to positive.

Most addressable panels wire roughly the same, what panels are you trying to wire up?

Make sure you don’t short out the loop. Wire it up when the power is off

The panel is a Notifier NFS2-3030

Is there anything I should know about regarding resistors?

I’ve found 2 documents which may be of assistance to you: The NFS2-3030 Programming Manual and the Intelligent Control Panel SLC Wiring Manual.

In regards to your latest question, no. SLCs do not require resistors.
