Slow Temporal Code 3?

I’ve been trying to dig as deep as I could but I can’t really find anything.

I’ve came across a few rare videos of systems in action where the temporal code was slower than the typical code 3 we hear on most systems. Something like 1s ON, 0.5s OFF type pulse. I’ve seen some with longer pauses, some shorted, some where it’s just a pulse pretty much like 30 BPMish March time. There’s actually 2 schools in my neighboring counties that had this code at one point. One school was actually fairly new with Gentex devices.

Most of the videos I’ve seen with this mostly appear to be Cerberus/Siemens systems. But I’m not really finding a lot of detail about what panels did it or if it was something programmed? I was able to discover that the 2001 did have a temporal code card that had this pattern but I’m 99% positive none of these are in service.

Can anyone help identify what panels did this and maybe send some documentation? This is has been itching me for like a year.

this is because some companies are too stupid to know how long a second is.

By any chance was one of those videos of a Cerberus Pyrotronics/Siemens voice evacuation system in action? I know that Cerberus Pyrotronics’ VoiceCom has a slow temporal 3 tone as an option.

Wasn’t there a Simplex panel thats code 3 was slower than normal? (I think it was the 4002)

Yep (Xsk even once had one that he tested that coding option on a few times), though I think the off period between each round of three pulses is longer, rather than the pulses themselves like what Xsk is describing.

The 4001/4002 simply just had a longer pause like 2.5 secs. We’re definitely talking about the pulses.

A good example is this video here from Jupiter High School which was actually a slow pulse coding rather than temporal, but similar pulse pattern.

This school had Commander 2’s inside and GMS’s outside.

Wow that video was a blast from the past. I wasn’t sure if it’s been privated/deleted, or I was experiencing the Mandela Effect. As for the wonky T3, Andrew did experience that during the time he did alarm inspections.

And funnily enough, Gentex sync does faster t3

My Autocall FD-FNA-2 Panel has a Slow Temporal 3 Tone that sounds for 1 Second, pauses for 0.5 Seconds, and repeats that cycle 3 Times then Pauses for 2 Seconds before doing that cycle again.

I happen to have a video of my Autocall Panel doing the Slow T3 Tone (Without the Horns).
