Have you ever smoked? I have done it until I was 12. Then I saw a blog post that said what could happen when you smoke and next time I smoked, I used electric cigarettes and stopped fully for my 2013 New Years resolution. I am now 14. I am glad I stopped.
I’ve smoked a countable number of cigarettes just to try it. I’ve never smoked regularly.
Never…
And secondhand smoke makes me cough.
It smells terrible…
Never. I can literally not think of a single positive benefit of smoking. It is terrible for your health, a huge waste of money, and just an all around dumb thing to get into
Also, to the OP, good job on quiting.
Dad “I’m quitting smoking”
Co-worker: “Great! [Dad’s name], I know you enough – you’re not a quitter!”
Dad laughs
Co-worker: “Oh wait, I better rephrase that.”
Both laugh
True Story
(My dad is the kind of person who is determined to do a real good job at something and not quitting without a fight.)
lol
And it is restarted to even buy them. It sucks the money out of your pocket.
Thanks! I’m glad I did and it was very hard to.
Anyone else on this forum ever smoke or do smoke?
I’m 23 now. I started smoking when I was 16, I didn’t realize I was addicted until I tried not to smoke. I guess I thought smoking was cool, it was just part of my image. When I was 17 I started going out with a girl that hated smoking (my previous girlfriend smoked) so I tried to not smoke but it was hard. I played baseball and I think the stress of playing made it hard to quit. Before a game I smoked a few cigarettes, then after the game I smoked a few more, so on game days I smoked maybe 10 cigarettes. On other days I smoked maybe 5 cigarettes. I felt bad that I let my family down by smoking. I quit smoking 2 years ago but sometimes still find it hard not to smoke.
My 17 year old brother Tyler smokes. His girlfriend smokes too so he doesn’t want to try to quit. My brother got kicked off his hockey team for multiple smoking incidents, and last week he tried to sneak a cigarette at his prom, he and his girlfriend got in trouble, and a few months ago he got in trouble for throwing an empty pack of cigarettes out his car window and it landed right on a police car next to him. He still refuses to even try to quit and doesn’t seem to care what others say, he is very arrogant and cocky but he still tries to be polite to everyone and does do good things. Most of the kids that smoke are really nice kids, they just made a stupid decision.
I’m lucky that my girlfriend hates smoking, she helped me quit. If she smoked I bet I’ll still be smoking.
That sucks, my ex smoked, too. Sucks…
Never. Do some research, and you will find that you are inhaling the following:
Acetic Acid (Corrosive to respiratory tract)
Acetone (used in nail polish removers.)
Ammonia. (Used in floor and toilet cleaners)
Arsenic (a poison)
Cadmium (Car battery Fluid)
Carbon Monoxide (interferes with the supply of oxygen in the blood to the rest of the body)
DDT/ dielderon (Insecticides)
Ethanol (Alcohol)
Formalin (used in preserving human tissue and fabric)
Hexamine (used in explosive compounds)
Hydrogen Cyanide (Poison)
Methane (Petroleum Gas)
Naphthalene (used in moth balls)
Nicotine (Schedule 6 Poison)
Nitro Benzene (a petrol additive)
Phenols (used in disinfectants)
Stearic Acid (used in candle wax)
Toluene (Industrial solvent)
Vinyl Chloride (used in PVC)
Yup, nasty stuff. I did a report on smoking, and saw just how much shit people put into their bodies.
Never smoked before and I never plan on starting.
^This. Plus, I have asthma, so my lungs will handle it even worse.
Didn’t they teach you that in school? They’ve been hammering it into my head since Kindergarten!
They did not teach us shit. Only child abuse and illegal drugs. I know a kid from my old school that smoked… Sad.
I knew about all the hazards of smoking but I still smoked. For some reason I thought it was cool so I did it. I guess I did things like smoking so older people would say “look at that stupid kid”, just like how I always wore my hat to the side and wore my watch with the buckle on the top of my wrist (I still do that), those things were just part of my image just like smoking. I was a nice kid that just wanted to look bad, as I think most teen smokers are. I didn’t realize that it would be as addicting as it was, I’m glad I quit, the longer I would smoke the harder it would be to quit. I just talked to my 17 year old brother about his smoking habit, he said he his reason for smoking was pretty much the same as my reasons. When I smoked I always told him not to smoke and he always told me he wouldn’t, but he started and didn’t realize it would be a hard to stop, now he tells me I was right (I don’t know why he didn’t believe me in the first place).
You were a gangsta.
My bus driver has been smoking, and she also regrets it. Whenever she is filling up the bus with gas, she sometimes loses her breath.
My parents used to smoke but stoped at the beginning of the year

Good for them! It is hard to stop smoking…
Ya it seems like it
