I saw a commercial that there is some kind of special gum that you chew to ease you out of the addiction. I’m not sure if that works, but the idea seems cool.
they have tryed it and it is crap so my mom used a patch and mad dad just stopped he was driving down the highway and threw his sigrets out the window.
Yea, I thought it wouldn’t work. The best way is to just get rid of them. btw, you spelled “cigarettes” wrong.
Haha wow i wrote this at 11:30pm last night and that’s what you get
As I mentioned my 17 year old brother is a smoker. If smoking is not stupid enough he likes to smell like smoke, before they go someplace he and his smoker friends close the windows in the car and smoke so their clothes smell like smoke. He already loads up with cologne so you can smell him 20 feet away, I wonder if he would get sick from carbon monoxide or other chemicals from his cologne and cigarettes. Last weekend me and my girlfriend went to the movies with my brother and his girlfriend. When we sat down before the movie started my brother started talking to some older people a few seats over, just being friendly, but they just told him they can’t stand his smell and they left. I don’t blame them for leaving, but they didn’t have to be so rude.
Do cigarettes seriously put out carbon monoxide? I thought that was only with gas.
Would cigarettes set off carbon monoxide detectors?
I don’t know.
I just found an article online, and it says that cigarettes do, indeed, put out carbon monoxide. You are correct.
My grandfather was smoking a cigarette while changing a light bulb which was next to the smoke/CO alarm and it went off.
Then again, one time I set it off by taking a steamy shower.
Was it the smoke or carbon monoxide alarm that sounded when he was smoking?
well they mak a co/smoke alarm combo we have those through out our house
I know, but what I was asking if the CO or smoke portion of the combo alarm was sounding.
oh woops lol
There’s also carbon monoxide detectors that are just carbon monoxide detectors. They typically plug into an electrical outlet.
Yep. Ciggys do out out CO.
I’m pretty sure that all smoke contains carbon monoxide.
Oh, I’ve never that about that. That might be how those detectors can be combination CO and smoke. Although, the detectors can tell you if carbon monoxide or smoke is being detected.
Was it the smoke or carbon monoxide alarm that sounded when he was smoking?
I don’t know. This is all I heard:
beep beep beep Fire, fire. beep beep beep pause three rapid beeps Warning. Carbon Monoxide. three rapid beeps
It does that when someone pushes the test button if it was co this is what it would do
Beep beep beep pause beep beep beep three rapid beeps “Warning carbon monoxide” three rapid beeps (repeats until its clear)
Sources: CO/Fire Detectors through out home
So it sounds like he just set off the smoke portion of the alarm.
