Spaceship Walkway Pull Station

I recently spotted this pull station at the Houston NASA discovery center. It is really interesting and has been very weathered. It is not in use anymore and has been pulled and the dual action cover flipped up.

I wonder how old it is. It was probably connected to the fire alarm system in the launch building.
