Temporal Pattern Generator Module

I’m trying to figure out if this exists, I can find a Kidde and EST module for this but they all require SLC. I need to generate temporal 3 or march time for a horn. It seems like this should be easy but I don’t see a solution. I have several CMF-300 and MMF-300 modules but they don’t produce a coded output, I also have a MDL3R that generates a sync signal but not plain temp. 3 coding. The panel I’m using is a MS-9050UD. I’m still pretty amateur to fire systems so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only such thing I know of is the “Collectors Controls DUSMC”, made by community member “4050-80”, though as I just discovered it’s out of stock for the time being: no idea if it’ll start being sold again at some point or not.

The original MDL can generate temporal 3 and the Siemens DSC can generate both temporal 3 and march time, if you are able to obtain either sync module.

Yeah, but do those also output a sync pattern at the same time which may cause non-syncable alarms to stutter?

Not when they are set to the “coded” mode. The MDL had this feature for backward compatibility with the SS and PS strobes, and the DSC also has a dedicated switch to code non-sync appliances.

Oh okay, neat! Yeah, that might be a good solution to OP’s problem, especially with the aforementioned DUSMC out of “production” for the time being.

On your MDL3, all you need to do is connect the jumper that is at the bottom under the black plate.

I hope that helps!

I think that is an MDL since it has “sync error” terminals instead of “NAC slave input” terminals. The MDL3 doesn’t seem to support this according to this manual.

Thank you so much! This produces a temporal 3 coded output with no sync, I have been trying to figure this out for a while.
