Man…you’re certainly not kidding on that last part! Thought about trying to have someone get the owner(s) to fix those problems? (since clearly they don’t care enough to do so themselves)
Seems like it definitely could use an overhaul. My guess is that the building has suffered from years of not enough maintenance, and bad workmanship on the maintenance that has been done.
Well that’s obvious I’d say, though going by just how much & how bad of maintenance neglect there clearly is it almost seems like it’s intentional (as in whoever manages the building just doesn’t care about keeping occupants safe).
May I have your attention please, a fire emergency has been reported in the building.
While this is being verified, please leave the building using the nearest exit with dangerous stairs.
Do not use the elevator.
Let me guess: no wheelchair ramps, thus leaving people in such unable to safely exit the building (without having to risk trying to slowly climb down those stairs at least) (though I suppose just the same that those stairs would be fairly dangerous for even non-handicapped individuals to use as well given the way they are).
Update: I contacted my pastor (owner) of the building, and he said that he was well aware of the issues, but he doesn’t have enough help to get some of the smaller problems resolved. He also confirmed that the fire extinguishers were inspected, and the company missed the ones upstairs from 2011.
Edit: the back ceiling tiles pictured in the top post finally had enough. There is a pretty decent amount of damage.
I will update when the situation is resolved.

They need to replace that styrafoam before it becomes a plumbing issue.
