Chances are its not worth Honeywell’s time/money to sue a company over this knockoff since I doubt it would ever pose any sort of a threat to the “real” BG-12 at all.

As for it working on addressable panels, the circuitry inside looks like it’s only a LED, a resistor, and some diodes. In fact, the wiring diagram for it specifically indicates that it only works with conventional control panels. Honeywell would probably have more of a problem with this pull if they were able to somehow copy their addressable technology.

Interesting, but even if they did manage to clone the technology, what kind of sane installer is going to put it into an installation? I would be cool for someone to get one of these and test it with an addressable Notifier panel, but then again, I would be kind of afraid to hook it up to one in the first place.
