Have a small system in a building that has 6 RTU’s. They just replaced all of them with new without disturbing the duct work below. Three of the units are large enough to have existing duct detectors and CR shutdown relays. The other three units were small enough to not require duct detectors but now the AHJ wants those small units to shutdown too. Never said they needed DD’s.
We added one CR relay for each unit. I added them to the correlation group for supervisory that now includes 3 DD’s and 6 CR relays. The problem is that none of the relays, new or old, go active when the DD’s go into supervisory. I dont know if they ever worked but they do not now. Checked everything twice and got on the phone with tech support. Went over everything with them and they came up with nothing. In the end they gave me a RMA for the three relays. There is a fire marshal inspection next Thursday and this seems far being resolved. Does anybody have any insight or suggestions? Thanks!!
