Vintage fire alarms found on eBay

If I get that lot, I ain’t donating nothing to a musume

as much as I would love to buy that lot, it’s a little out of my price range. I usually get vintage fire alarms from eBay that are under $50

Do you not know this? A lot of vintage fire alarms are usually thrown out or scrapped so that’s why I want to see them preserved in public fire museums that every enthusiast can enjoy.

Well those vintage devices are gonna be on my collection shelf

Nice! those old devices are so cool.

IKR, they’re also built like tanks compared to the modern stuff you see today which is built like ass, cheap AF and fails within a few years.

Yeah I had the first lot on my favourites, but it is very expensive indeed. But, I always save them, if I ever win the lottery, I would just buy everything in my wishlist :joy:

Nope! I’ll probably buy them on my birthday

it might be gone by the time your birthday comes up. You have the same mentality as Simplex Guy when it comes to fire museums.

My birthday is next week. I usually get a shitload of money and gift cards so I’ll be fine

wrong topic. Post this under the fire alarm museum topic.

“Supervisory bell trouble” WTF… A trouble indicator for another trouble indicator… Geez.
Btw, it seems like these indicators are electromagnetic signal flags… some sort of vintage aviation technology.

I don’t think so. I think it’s supposed to be the same as “Supervisory trouble bell.”

NOS Simplex 4308 annunciator

I found this red 4050 with a black label; it has the same operating voltage, but not the same amperage as my former HS

Simplex 4251-20 with early label (c. 1973) I believe my former HS has these.

ACME 10 inch SS bell with guard

ACME trouble bell

Edwards 372 with “FIRE HORN” label (Rare)

Lee Electric wood break-glass station

Grinnell-branded Wheelock 6 inch bell

What’s the… This panel uses a masterbox (or solenoid-activated coded pull?) as the NAC coding mechanism?

I think so, There is a 1956 Faraday FACP that works the same way on the Old School Fire Alarms site. I call those “master signal code generators.”

Is it wound up or motorized?

I believe this one’s the former, but is solenoid activated when the system goes into alarm. I don’t think motorized coded pull boxes came around until the 1960s.
