Hi all, first time posting here in a while. I figured I would show off one of my latest acquisitions; a Fire-Lite RI204 alarm panel from likely the 1960s.
I believe these were used in residential applications typically, however I’m not sure. I actually did some work on this panel many months ago for a friend and fellow collector, Seth K (aka. Mr. 4246-2), prior to him giving it to me in a trade recently. I added a backbox which has a 120VAC to 6VDC transformer inside of it, a relay to add on a 120vac alarm output, and a AC/DC selector switch. This panel originally ran strictly off a 6V lantern battery, and we wanted to add more flexibility.

Great acquisition! I hope you can get it working before long! (if you haven’t already of course)
I would have preferred you put that selector switch on a separate piece of metal or something so as not to ruin the original condition of the panel, but alright I guess…
There’s one example of Fire-Lite’s older logo (which it seems like they used up until the 1970s at least, since I believe there are examples of Fire-Lite devices from that era that have the current logo).

It looks pretty complex from my point of view. I hope he can get it up and running.
