So I got this recently got this Vanguard heat detector bell on Facebook marketplace and it was for 30 bucks, I made an offer for 20 and the seller accepted it. Turns out, The seller found it in an old box or somewhere and decided to put it on Facebook marketplace, although, they didn’t know how rare that vanguard bell was, but at least I have it now! Here’s a photo!

Well isn’t that neat! Not sure I’ve ever seen one that was copper or brass like that one either: most seem to be made out of some kind of silver-colored metal instead. Nice acquisition!
Any idea what the model of it might be?

Yeah: that’s what the label says. Also interesting that it says “FOR LOCAL AREAS ONLY”, “TO BE INSTALLED BY FACTORY TRAINED PERSONNEL ONLY”, & “VANGUARD INTERSTATE CORP”, as I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the former two on a Vanguard-brand heat detector & I could have sworn the latter was just “Interstate Engineering Corporation” instead.
