Vista 32FB Problem

I recently bought a Vista 32 FB on eBay from someone. The code they provided was not the code. It powers on and respond to button presses, but after a few, it does not. I’ve tried power cycling it and holding down the * and # keys to enter programming mode but it won’t enter. I need to reset the code. I’m used to the vista 20p and this has been more complicated. Any suggestions to reset it?

Ok, I’m more proficient in these. Do you know the regular code, to arm and disarm? Try seeing if you can arm the system first and disarm it. You may need to hook up some devices too to the system. It may be that there is a maximum of number of entering a code in. It shouldn’t be doing that, but owning a Vista 15p and my grandma having a Vista 20p, I have had to work on her system in the past, mainly because of her not knowing the code to the panel. I had a similar issue. It let me put in 4 numbers. I think it just times out after you put in more than 4 numbers.

Yes, the prior owner provided a code that didn’t work.

Ah okay.

As I said in this post, there maybe a maximum amount of numbers put in. Maybe there is another step to bypass this.
