What is IDNET Ground?

Hello. I am trying to find out if IDNET Ground is something critical. This is on one of my sites alarm panel for a hangar. Should there be a concerns to get it fixed immediately? I appreciate any help.

Thank you

if it’s causing a panel trouble, that means it’s compromising the systems ability to operate correctly and should be fixed as soon as possible

I’m pretty sure that means there is a Ground Fault on the IDNET channel. Meaning that the electricity is going to ground and not back to the panel. (Panel is kinda acting like a tripped GFCI right now).

Anything that IDNET Channel will not work at all until that trouble is fixed.

Like @The_Abigail Said, call Simplex or your Fire Alarm Technician about this issue. I should also note that Ground Fault Troubles are a hassle for the technicians to fix. (A bad circuit board or bad wiring anywhere could be the problem, for instance.) So it may take time for it to be fixed.

Thank you very much!

Thank you. I appreciate it.

Disconnect circuit by circuit to try to clear the ground fault, some cards can have an internal ground fault.

Great! Thank you very much.
