What is the difference between the Wheelock E-Series and the ET-Series?

Title says it all. I can’t seem to figure out what the difference is besides that one is older than the other.

I was once told that the ET-series is supposedly the high-fidelity version of the E70, even though Wheelock also makes “E70H” models which are said to be the high-fidelity versions instead (& you mean to tell me that the E70 isn’t high-fidelity already? (which is important for a fire alarm speaker/speaker/strobe).

The ET series has power taps for 4 watts and 8 watts, and it includes vandal-resistant options (but there is no ET50/ET60). I believe that is the only difference, as the ET speakers also have 400-4000 Hz frequency output.

Oh, right: nearly forgot that “ET” can mean several different serieses of Wheelock notification appliances, not just a variant of the E70-series. I guess the wattage thing still applies though.

Alright, thank you for clearing this up!
