Im guessing that it is to differentiate the alarms color from the paint on the wall so you can see it better
And im asking because i have a system sensor P2W and i just wonder why its white
I believe only pull stations need to be a contrasting color from the wall they’re on for location in an emergency: notification appliances can be both seen & heard clearly no matter what color they are. White NAs exist for applications where you’d want them to blend in with the wall or ceiling so that they’re not as visible & thus they’re less obtrusive.
Makes sense tbh
I was wondering because i got a system sensor P2W
Some appliances may be for Mass Notification and not strictly fire alarm. They could broadcast a tornado, shelter in place or other emergency related message.
Yes: usually such devices are either marked “ALERT” or are unmarked.
I have got a system sensor P2W with fire lettering on it
So yeah
In my area, white alarms are used more for appeal. Like example, apartment buildings. Many will use red mini horns in the halls, but white mini horns in apartments and such to blend in. The same with sprinklers, many new builds use the covert sprinkler heads with white covers.
