Saw this image online when I was searching Toronto air raid sirens at first I thought its was an HVAC system but its on a siren mount tower at it looks like a “Cursed ACA Allertor 125” or as i like to call it “ACA Allertor Snail”
what is this thing?
According to various pages I’ve found, that’s actually an art piece by someone, rather than an actual siren (no clue why they’d make one of an outdoor warning siren of all things & actually mount it on a roof, but yeah).

Yes, it also resembles a centrifugal fan:

I have no clue what that could be for, but going by available evidence it’s just a static sculpture, nothing more.
