What security system do you have?

No, no fire components. Unless you count zone 95 :joy:

Building is much too small. Not even sprinklered.

Still a cool system! Sounds like it will provide more than enough protection if needed.

With the 2GIG system, the default installer code is 1561. If that does not work, you will need to factory reset the panel by pulling the battery and the AC power and then holding down both of the buttons while you power it back up and holding them until it boots up or has been plugged in for at least 60 seconds. Do this at your own risk as it will completely remove all settings from the panel, including sensors. This will also reset the master code to the default (1111). After this you will need to reprogram the system. If you don’t know how to pull the battery, you can do it by unscrewing the screw at the top of the panel and then pulling the panel off the wall. You then need to pull out the wire from the battery back that goes into the main board.

If you need help reprogramming the system, I find the videos from the following channel from late 2015 to be the most useful.

Here are the videos that I have found to be the most useful:

These are the main videos that I used to learn how to program the system.

Tip: if the system is monitored and you want to remove that ability you can remove the cellular card from inside the panel.

It looks something like this:

Alright, I will check that out. Thanks!

To add on this years later. My house does have a Vista 20p with Roughly 16 Zones used with it, all used for Burglar with the exception of 4 and 12, which are used for Fire and Water Alarms, respectively.

It has had some changes over the years, as it was mainly installed for Medical Pendant Use, I converted it into a fully working security system recently with the slow but ongoing Fire/Security Alarm System upgrade at my house.

A yellowed ADEMCO 6150 as the Kitchen Keypad (Was the main keypad, but not anymore), was a pain to program the system with, It was with the original system. Here, its displaying a Fire Zone Activation after I activated my I3 which Is a temporary holdout until the Fire Alarm system is done.

This is a ADEMCO Wave 2 Siren, which is also a bit yellowed, after repainting the wall, I installed a Surface mount box to it to tie the Vista20P to the New Fire Alarm System in the future. Before them, it was directly mounted to the wall.

The wires coming from the box are for the 6160 and Holdout i3, a More Permanent Solution will be installed in the future.

This a Newer Honeywell 6160 Keypad that I installed as part of the Fire/Security System Upgrade. It replaces the 6150 as the Main Keypad, but both are still used on the system. This made programming a heaven…

Thats all really…

I now have a Eyezon Envisalink 4 in my Vista 20P

Very nice, how do you like it so far?

What is that and what does it do?

I agree, Seems Interesting

It’s the small blue circuit board with the 5 green LED’s in both our panels. It is an internet-only communicator (with ability to add a cellular module) compatable with Honeywell Vista Plus series panels and DSC panels. Quite an awesome little device in my opinion.

Its a self monitoring module, it reports activity on the system by sending alerts to your email or on the Eyezon app.

This is the app itself:

Its not bad actually, you definitely have to turn on IP/GSM in programming on the Vista 20P or else it won’t work, and all of the reporting codes or some of the reporting codes on the panel.

I like mine too. Only thing I dislike is that if you label your panic zones the zone list gets super long lol. How long have you had yours?

I just bought mine recently.

my house uses a 2nd gen Ring alarm system and I am working on making a Vivint demo system for my room.

Heck even my dad got one back in 2014 and he hated it so much he just took it apart to view the motherboard of it, even the Kidde detectors would do a better job at detecting smoke. At least it never happens in my house.

My old house had a dsc pc1616 and my current house has an fbii-xl2t

I don’t have anything at the moment, but I may look into getting a Vista-10SE.

I have a vista 20p that I bought from another tech, and various devices acquired from various sources. I refuse to pay a lot of money for any devices. I’m cheap. It’s mostly wireless with some hardwired zones mixed in that were left over from the previous home owners. It’s a work in progress but it’s my legacy.
