Wheelock New Alarm!: LED Exceeders

Wheelock has introduced a new line of Exceeders where the strobes are actually LEDs. They are about the size of a Genesis (single-gang) now. According to them, it is the industry’s first LED notification appliances.

These are really cool horn/strobes. I wonder how the LED strobes flash? I hope SimplexGrinnell makes some LED TrueAlert horn/strobes.

Looks like these are poised to give the Genesis a run for their money, they’re pretty much the same size. (The LED Exceder is slightly thicker.) I imagine they’ll have the same sound as the regular Exceder.

I wonder if NFPA will need to be modified. Last I knew, they specifically required neon flashtubes as strobe devices.
