Wheelock TelStrobe PS-11A Strobe (Very rare varient)

I was looking through my house parts collection I barely look through so I can get ready for a neighborhood sale happening next month. I happened to have one of these rare telephone strobes that appears to be sinilar to a notification appliance. This unit takes in 110volts AC and is at fixed candella since there isn’t a strobe brightness option. It wil only flash if it detects a phone call through it’s modem port and appears to be made in 1990s through it’s condition. I haven’t seen one with a blue strobe on it before (or if the previous owners scribbeled blue ink on it) and has 202 on it but not sure what that would mean. Here’s what this rare strobe looks like on the front:

Font on it still looks in well condition as it hasn’t been used for quite a few years at least. The back side has the model of it

I might open up the back plate when I get the chance to take out the 4 screws on it and I’ll show the circuitry as well. I’ve never seen one of these before and I don’t think many colectors have this specific varient so it’s the first time the forum sees this.

They were never made with blue strobes, someone colored it. Nonetheless, Telestrobes are very cool devices!

I rubbed the ink off it with water turns out it was colored with some pretty old pernament marker.

my gradpas nursing home suit has one cuz he is hard of hearing

I wonder if there’s an ADA requirement of having one installed. Although the flash would be hard to distinguish from a fire alarm since it’s also white.

the fire strobe in his suit has a red lens

what alarm is it? not many have red strobes.

its a commander strobe thers like 2 in each room
