Where can I get fire alarms for cheap

I’m wondering where I can get fire alarms to expand my collection for cheap (or not)

Only places I can suggest are Ebay, where almost all enthusiasts get their devices from (regardless of whether they’re cheap or not), & local service companies, which may have devices they can give to you for free (keyword may though).

eBay or Facebook marketplace

elaborate on that. Are you saying I should Urbex to find them or go to a building being renovated?

I didn’t mention either of those, but provided you can do so safely & legally those are options too. If you’re asking about what I mean by “local service companies”, I mean going to their places of business & asking if they have any devices they’ve removed from buildings that they might be able to give to you.

Panel upgrades often result in a lot of old unused equipment, the hard part is being in the right place at the right time. If you know any electricians who do fire alarm, they could probably hook you up. As a programmer who does many panel upgrades, I have to admit it hurts seeing contractors just throw the old stuff in a dumpster…

Urbexing for fire alarms or urbexing in general is pretty risky. You never know what you’ll run into in an abandoned structure

i need a bit of help finding alarms too

Go on eBay or Facebook marketplace

Some things to know:
• Don’t trespass or go in abandoned buildings
• Contact local fire alarm installers
• Ask friends or family if they have any old smoke alarms (Note this step only works for smoke alarms)

CO, gas, & heat detectors as well, don’t forget about them!

Yes of course thank you for telling you

You mean "telling me" (as in you) right? (heh)
