i’m talking about the edwards/est genesis WALL MOUNT. i’m pretty sure a genesis remote strobe exists in ceiling mount form. why was the est genesis remote strobe wall mount skipped? or is it just extremely rare?

They do exist. The front cover just has the same grille holes for the horn as the horn-strobes probably because it was easier and cheaper to manufacture it that way, rather than create a new mold just for the remote strobe version.

But what I don’t get is why the same wasn’t done for the ceiling mount remote strobes which do not have a horn grille
Yeah. Why did EST/Edwards only put false horn grills in the wall mount remote remote strobe?
My guess as to why they kept the grill was so they could manufacture 1 batch of covers and have it work with both models.
According to this press release, Edwards seems to have introduced ceiling-mount remote strobes together with the ceiling speakers and speaker strobes but before the ceiling-mount horn strobes. Since there was no ceiling horn strobe at the time, Edwards designed the ceiling strobe from scratch and did not have a reason to include a horn grille.
