Will it be hard to wire alarm devices to a panel?

My fire alarm collection is growing, and my brother helped me to get notification appliances function. My Wheelock AS functions now after lots of hassle. I’ll get more devices, then I may invest in a panel some point soon.

I’m wondering how easy it will be to wire notification appliances, pull stations, and smoke detectors to fire alarm panels.

It all depends on the panel & type of device, but usually it’s pretty easy: either two or four wires from two or four specific terminals on the panel to two or four specific terminals on the device.

That strongly depends on if you have hands or not.

Glad to hear that you got your stuff working. If and when you buy a panel, make sure it’s conventional. I cannot stress this enough. Addressable panels are often very difficult to program, and they have limited compatibility, so make sure that it’s conventional. A good panel is the Silent Knight sk-5208 due to its simplicity and flexibility

Exactly what I would say.
