Hi all,
We’re looking to wire a Simplex 4606-9101 annunciator to a Simplex 4010 fire alarm control panel but are unsure about the wiring. We tried using AI for guidance, but we’re not fully confident in the instructions.
Could anyone provide some insight into what connects where and how to do this properly?
Thanks in advance!
This document (hosted/stored/archived on this very site in fact!) should help I think:

Either follow the instructions that Carson provided above, or you can use this visual tutorial I made:
You will need to program the annunciator into the panel using your Level 4 access & programming mode for it to work.

Very much appreciate the help.
We installed it but encountered an issue.
Do I need a resistor on the shield input and output for the annunciator?
When powered on, the annunciator displays “no communication from master.” I attempted a quick configuration, but it resulted in an error.
We currently have a module connected to the auxiliary power on the 4010. Could we reroute the power to go from the 4010 to the annunciator and then from the annunciator to the module’s auxiliary input?
You do not need a resistor on the shield connections.
A no comms trouble means that the panel doesn’t see the annunciator. If you have already programmed it into the system, it may not be addressed correctly. Reference pages 7, 8, and 9 of the previously linked annunciator install instructions to see how to do this.
If a quick config won’t get the programming, you may have to manually add the card through the programming menus – reference this guide for programming instructions; everything card related starts on page 5-1.
You can reroute the AUX power from the panel into the annunciator, then out to your module with no problems. It is designed to do so!
