Hey all, I am looking for a conventional panel with as many sync mode options on the NACs as possible…Something like a Notifier SFP or Potter PFC or SL 5204. It really doesn’t matter brand… The hope is that it also is easy to program and change amongst sync modes.
Yes, I am looking to deep-dive into sync protocols with an oscilloscope . Will share here if I can find success.
I think honesty the best panel in terms of having the most built in sync modes would be the more modern fire lite conventional panels like the MS-5UD and MS-10UD.

The MS-5UD looks like a good option…Relatively cheap, front-panel programmable, and the manual says it can do System Sensor, Wheelock, Gentex, Faraday, and Amseco.
Sounds like you’re looking to break down sync protocols, interesting. The big 3 are probably System Sensor, Wheelock, and Gentex. For Simplex, you can use a 4905-9938 to emulate that without a Simplex panel. For Edwards / EST, I believe the Edwards SIGA-CC1S G1M-RM should do the same.
So, I’d focus on a cheaper Honeywell panel (MS-2, MS-4, MS-5UD, or MS-10UD) which would support the first three protocols built in. The modules can be put on (without any sync coming from the panel) to get the others.
I’d actually start with something like an Altronix AL802ULADA – that’ll get you basically the same protocols as the MS-5UD unless Wheelock and Faraday are noticeably different, for a fair bit less money most likely.
That said, for Edwards sync, I’d use a G1M-RM instead of the SIGA-CC1A as the G1M-RM doesn’t need an EST/Kidde SLC loop to drive it.
I have a Fire-Lite MS-10UD that I might be willing to part with for a good price. Is in good condition and the only issue is it freaks out when AC power is lost. If you are just using it for a hobby setup though, it shouldn’t be an issue, especially if you don’t have batteries.
