You Know You Like Fire Alarms When (2.0)

Yeah. That would be a pretty rude thing to do.

Calm down! It’s just a joke that I would never actually do without warning them the day before so they would be ready.

Heres A Few

You know you like fire alarms when…

-You try to make your iphone vibration go with your wheelock MT code 3 ringtone (Guilty)
-You go to school every day thinking about talking to the principle to conduct a fire drill in school but can’t. (Guilty)
-You finally force your self to talk to your principle in school only to know you have to ask someone else  (Guilty)
-You finally got the approval to help conduct a fire drill in school but now have to wait a month  (Guilty)
-You ask your self “why is they’re no fire alarms in that building” (Guilty)
-When you what to volunteer as a fire alarm tech assistant during high school (Guilty)
-When you professionally think you can pass any fire alarm test or question given at you. (Need to test myself for that)
-When you make a fire alarm journal and take it every where you go [EX: School,Work,And Home] (Guilty)
-When you think about putting a fire alarm as your car horn (Innocent but my friend had the idea)

Simplex 4045-13.

You know you like fire alarms if:

You walk in a public building, name a fire alarm and pull, and your parents get mad (guilty multiple times)

-You accidentally type/write Simplex instead of simple, Wheelock instead of wheel, Honeywell instead of honey or Gamewell instead of game. (not guilty)

  • You get excited when you see a fire alarm system being replaced. (guilty)

-When you see a building renovation going on, you check the garbage bins for old alarms (innocent)
-When you take surround-sound speakers, connect them to your computer and play a voice evacuation message over them (guilty once)

Or replace a dead surround-sound speaker with a FA… (innocent)

That wouldn’t work, because most sound systems operate on less than a volt. An alarm wouldn’t work on that voltage.

Not mine. They are 25v speakers

Are you sure? Pretty much any 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system would provide less than 5 volts.
It still wouldn’t work, because the voltage varies from 0-25v in a 25v circuit to pulse the speaker coil.

I’m guilty of so many of these things. Making it a point to look for the alarms when you go into a building, checking alarms when you see a camera flash, questioning why a building wouldn’t have a fire alarm system, jumping whenever you hear a 60 Hz/120 Hz noise (in my case, the buzzer on my clothes dryer), being able to tell how old a building is by what alarms they have, and so many more.

You know you like fire alarms if:
• Whenever you hear a noise, you think of an alarm to compare it to (guilty)
You’re on eBay every day searching for alarms (guilty)
You get excited when you hear an alarm go off (guilty)
You have dreams that involve alarms or fire drills (guilty)
You can tell how loud the alarms in a building are because you know which alarms they have (guilty)
  •
You know you like fire alarms when:
-You see a fire alarm in an elevator.
-Your school has a surprise fire drill.

You go into a building just to see the alarms.

You know that the sprinklers won’t activate when the alarm goes off.

You know that NAs don’t detect smoke.

    What alarm was it?

You know you like fire alarms when you can tell the tech that the horns are out of sync. (Guilty)

Sorry for double post but I forgot to add: You know you like fire alarms when you use fire sprinklers to water your plants in your greenhouse. (VERY guilty) XD

-when your friends ask “you gonna film it” when the fire alarm goes off at school. Guilty

    • When you carry all of your keys around. Only once guilty

    • when you go to the bathroom to clear memory on your camera because there is going to be a fire drill. Guilty

    • When you pick where to go to dinner just because of what system they have. Guilty

Guilty of the first and last. XD
