50 year old smoke detector?

So I have a really old smoke detector, to the point where I called Canadian tire head office and they couldn’t find the model number. I’ve been using this forum to actually research it a bit, I made a eBay posting for it I’m curious if anyone has any useful information on it. This all started because I was mad my landlord made me pay for a new smoke detector when the old one was beyond expired honestly. I don’t even know if I priced it right , I was basically looking at different vintage models to get an idea .

That particular detector is quite rare. As for the year of manufacture, yes, it’s that old. Veteran smoke detector collector NLind once made a video on it:

I’m glad you replaced it: it’s very important to make sure that every smoke detector is no older than 10 years (I also hope you plan on selling it to a collector who’ll get some joy out of owning it, as opposed to just throwing it away unceremoniously (especially with a detector that rare).
