Try to find some small aluminum spacers, they look like tiny tubes. Use those with real long screws to stand it up. That way it will look nicer.

OK, thanks for the suggestion. I will have to go to the home depot and find some next weekend.

So the Calibri wasn’t working out for me. I decided to redesign the button panel, and now it looks a bit more System 3esk. Also it’s white on black now, like the outside.

You should organize those wires a bit and make it look neat and orderly. Trust me from experience.
Yeah, I will. I need to solder all of the LEDs, still.
Also, just incase anybody comes along yelling “THOSE WIRES ARE SHORTING YOUR GOING TO BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!” They’re not. It’s just the camera angle.

OK, so I finished it.
When I plugged it in, it seemed to work alright. Everything worked but 2 things.
The clock was constantly counting up, and when I tripped the alarm the relay would buzz and the lights dim.
Both of these have something in common. Guess?
Both had glue holding something in. The clock set switch terminals were glued, and so were the zone LEDs. I think Elmer’s wet glue is conductive. I’m an idiot…
I’ll try again tomorrow when it’s all dry.
Update
I got it to work, but it turns out that the coder is defective.
After, I moved the button panel and activated it again, and it buzzed. I held it down and one of the diodes let the magic smoke out. I think it shorted so I’m redoing all of the insulation.
Buzzing relays, eh?..
What’s the contact rating for your relays?
and they probably share a common ground…
