There is no 75 candella 4903 but there is a 75 candella TrueAlert.
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I discovered that TrueAlerts with the 4903-style symbol stickers DO exist! I saw one at a medical center near the hospital. The system is a Simplex 4020 panel, with 15-candela TrueAlert horn/strobes (they don’t have the TrueAlert logo on them), Simplex TrueAlarm smokes, and dual-action Simplex T-bars (either 2099-9756s or 4099-9003s). I was in a restroom that had a remote TrueAlert strobe with the horn-like grille (I could tell it wasn’t a horn/strobe cause I couldn’t see through the grille like I could with the others), and on the strobe was a green asterisk sticker! The horn/strobes had a regular “15 CD”-label on them.
Umm… According to the ID guide, 4903-9177 does not tell whether it’s red or white.
Neither do any of the Simplex guides I have, so I had to leave it blank.
Actually, I’ve determined it’s red, because it’s listed to have a horizontal “FIRE” marking, which would make it a retrofit model, and being as no white retrofit models were made, it has to be red.
OK, I’ve made the above change to the guide, and I also had to re-do the 4903 revised electronic horn/strobes, as I’ve determined that the information I had on them was incorrect. I don’t plan to make a pdf of it anymore, so if anyone wants it, I’ll send you the word document file.
