Are you going to upload them still?
Do you still have the files to upload?
I reached out to Celex (MEKA) on Discord, and he sent me the FCCA files!
The voice messages and some of the tones are the same exact files that @LSPDFRIA uploaded in 2023, but there’s some interesting tones!
Here you go, enjoy!
All that’s left is finding the messages for the RAMM-A (older message module for the IRC-3).
The FCCA files are interesting, especially the 5520 file.
sorry to randomly bump. here are the files to the FCCA and MVM
What do those older messages sound like? Are they of the “EST Guy” voice?
From what MEKA said in a earlier post, it was a voice module that was used on older FCCAs pre-1996. He doesn’t know what it would sound like. There is eBay listings for the RAMM-A.
Really obscure item, couldn’t find any manuals on it, only listings.
I wonder if there’s older EST Guy recordings on there nobody has heard yet, we will have to wait and see though.
There was a discussion almost a year ago of a mystery voice evac in a hotel. People suspected that this could’ve been the EST guy in the video.
That just sounds like one of the 7 default “calm” Edwards/EST male messages to me (albeit possibly slightly lower-pitched).
I did email Edwards to see if they have any audio files for the RAMM-A, although I doubt they do. Considering how this thing is obscure.
Yes, I highly doubt they would still keep those 1994 files, though they had that sound clips page up until late 2023 or early 2024.
I think extracting the EEPROMs from an eBay unit is the only solution left here, Edwards has probably deleted them by now, or they are locked away.
Except the fact that the RAMM-A’s are VERY expensive. Although I have a bit of hope that they might have it, considering there’s still the FCCA files in existence.
Well, we will have to wait and see when you hear back from them.
I got a reply, it was them telling me to contact EST support or find an authorized dealer. I also cannot contact EST support for some reason due to some random error with a “prohibited IP”.
Well, you know what that means…
The RAMM-A used a lot of MacKenzie Laboratories Inc parts so I suspect the RAMM-A might’ve originally been made by MacKenzie but cannot confirm. Maybe a RAMM-A will end up here very soon hint hint.
