I had a dream that I went to a mall that had been abandoned. Well, the mall was demolished, and there was just dirt on the ground from where it has been. The mall was built on a hill, so the escalators were still there, just sitting on the dirt going up the hill. They were still running. At the top of the hill, the movie theater that was connected to the mall was still there, also abanonded. I walked into the theater, and all of the walls had a dark navy blue wallpaper on them. I found a custodial room, that had four fire alarm control panels on the wall. There was a Simplex, Edwards, Fire-Lite, and Notifier panel. Al of these were old (and not real models). I remember the Fire-Lite being the oldest. The NAs were Simplex horns (the 4903-9236 without the strobe). Every horn had a strobe about a yard away from it. I don’t remember what the strobes were. Anyway, I hit the drill button on the Fire-Lite panel, and it sounded the alarms. I immediately knew that the police had hear, and were coming to get me. This is when it turned into a nightmare. So, I pressed every button on the Edwards panel, then ran to the nearest exit. The nearest exit was in the same (short) hallway/corridor. The exit was a door that had a window pane (not the all metal kind). The door has a STI alarm on it (not the kind that looks like a stop sign). There was a short walkway (length of about two yards) going from this door into a Subway restaurant. So, I opened the door, and ran into Subway. The alarm sounded, but once I got to Subway, the police lost me. Then, I woke up.
I have an interest in abandoned buildings, and fire alarms. I saw a video of an abandoned movie theater on YouTube recently, if that has anything to do with it.
Yea, I was thinking that, but wasn’t sure, because some states were missing from that list. I guess the webmaster of that website does not know about the missing states.
Yea, if somebody actually snitches. I know in some counties, the fire department actually goes around to different schools (probably like once per year), and does a drill themselves. Sometimes, they try to make it look like a real fire. They fill the area with smoke or steam, they activate the “secondary”, or “smoke” alarms (the alarms that sound to indicate a real fire condition), and they bring a fire hose into the building.
If anyone knows the alarms in that video, please post, they are hard to identify. It sounds kind of like a Wheelock EHS.
Last night - I was at a smoke alarm section of a store. There were several models on display, including an EST SC30U Series detector, and there was also a GE “Antique Circuit” alarm. As you can see, the front looks like the one on the 8201 series, save for the LED indicator window above the test button, while the side is different. Somehow, my brain must have been in “True to Life” mode, since the printing on the package was set in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GE_Inspira GE Inspira font, which is used for the visual identity system of the General Electric Company.
Last night: I dreamt I was with “ShiloSugarbush” in her http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy6HOWkvbyA video, starting at the 1:30 part, and then we fixed the horns in the chapel area together.
I had a dream a few nights ago I was in my older Junior High during a fire drill. The spookiest thing though, was that all of the 4051s sounded EXACTLY how did they when I was there.
I had another dream that there was a school renovating and getting rid of their 4051s and replacing them with SpectrAlert Classics and I got to keep one as a memento.
As for the memory thing, this was 7/8 years ago and I could barely even remember the horns.
Well, I’m not sure if it’s because I was excited about System Sensor’s new alarms, but last night I dreamt I worked there. First part I was in the office area, near the office of a guy who was in charge of the Innovair Flex duct detector. Then I was on the production floor itself.
I had one last night where I was at my dads house and the house had sprinklers inside it. That house does not have sprinklers in real life. I also dreamt about playing Minecraft and there were sprinklers all over my world.
Ok. I had a dream that I was at my now former middle school. I asked the janitor if we could have a fire drill, and he said sure, and he said I could set it off. He gave me the Simplex B key.
Now, things are getting weird. I went to the pull station by the door to the gym office. It was a 2099-series, and it looked the exact same, except the housing was blue instead of red. One of the other Grade 8 classes was having free time in the gym.
I shakingly unlocked the pull station, and held it open for two seconds. As I closed it, I was surprised to hear 4051 horns in code 3, rather than 10 inch bells. I went to one of the alarms, and it was a 4903-series horn/strobe, except, again, the housing was blue, and on this one, the Simplex logo was red. That was it.
Oh, and by the way, the panel was still a 2-bay 4100UIA.
One time I had a dream that I was in my middle school at 7:00PM. The story took place in 1979, my parents graduating year. I walked up to the steps, and it said WC jr. And sr. High instead of WC middle school. I walked in and say the calendar. I looked at what date it said and it said " April 1st, 1979. I walked up to a simplex chevron pull and pulled it. I heard a faint sound of a simplex 2901-9833, and I saw 2903-9001s blink one at a time, and the noise got louder every second. I then saw a simplex 2904-9001 inside the old light fixtures blinking fast. Then I walked down the hall and saw white 2903s on one side of the wall and red 2903s on the other side. I then saw simplex 4050-80s with yellow lights and blue lettering. They had wheelock 34-24s on them. I walked out and respawned in my 7th grade classroom. I walked out and pulled a BG-12L, and Spectralert advances went off. I walked to the trophy case, and saw a 2903-9101/2901-9833 and saw one on each one. I stayed inside for an hour, and the FD made all of us get out. I then saw my Health teacher teaching science. I walked down the road and 4050-80 remote lights with blue, red, yellow, white, green, and purple lights blinked rapidly where there was a 2901-9806 by each one. I looked on the back, and it said “weatherproof fire alarm made April 1st, 1979 at 7:01 PM”. I walked to the hoff elementary and The BLACK simplex truealerts were going off. The roads were lined with the 4050-80 remote lights until my grandmas street. I walked in and a wall was lined with 4050s and 2904-9005 lights, all going off. I then walked out to mainstreet, and simplex 4050-80 remote lights surfaced EVERY building. I woke up after I saw every persons head except mine was turned into a 12" simplex bell.
