Cool! I’m glad they went with a Potter system. Was it a voice evac system? I know the two Top Golf locations that I’ve been to both had voice evac systems. One was an EST system, and the other was a Fire-Lite system.

judging by the how the wall looks that it’s mounted on. i assume it was in a school gym, no cage over it, got hit by a ball, big sad go boom, no more 4903.

It seems that 4903 devices have a tendency to violently shatter upon impact with other objects. I guess that’s 30 year old plastic for you.
This is the only fire alarm related thing in this 8 floor apartment building. NO A/V’S!! Only smoke detectors! Not even pull stations!
What do the smoke detectors look like? Could they be mounted on sounder bases? System Sensor’s 500-series sounder bases did not obviously stand out as sounder bases.
That’s crazy! Buildings (especially apartments) are required to have NA’s. What’s the point of the system then. There could be sounder bases like that person said but idk if that would be compliant.

Since this is almost a high rise building, I also wouldn’t be surprised if it is a voice evac system without strobes. The speakers might look like non-fire alarm speakers.
I know, but I would also expect someone specifically looking for strobes to find them. On the other hand, 4-inch speakers and 8-inch speakers can easily be mistaken for non-fire alarm devices, or the entire system might be based on sounder bases. These would not be allowed in new construction but this could have been grandfathered. According to this site (the address is shown on the annunciator in your photo), the building started construction in 2021, so it was definitely not grandfathered.
