Fire Alarms in Buildings (2.0)

Same Meow Wolf behind the Omega Mart ARG huh? Rather neat.

Was there also English lettering on the signs in the first photo? (since all that’s visible in it is Spanish lettering)

Wonder how they could have possibly mounted the speaker/strobe in the last photo upside-down like that…

The Meow Wolf with the Omega Mart is in Las Vegas. There was English lettering as well.

I know Omega Mart is in a completely different state to their Grapevine, Texas installation: that’s what I know Meow Wolf from though.

Ah okay, thought so.

POV: you look up at an addressable TrueAlert ES Speaker/Strobe and look back down just to realise you are looking at cursed lemons in the fruit aisle…

I was just at the Meow Wolf in Denver, CO. It has essentially the same setup, except the devices are much more hidden among the decorations (although surprisingly in a way that still seems up to code).

That last photo: Lol. They should have moved the box down, used a separate speaker and strobe, or moved the device to the ceiling (and of course replaced it with a ceiling mount version).

Yes they have several locations throughout the us, and they are all slightly different, but they all have incredibly confusing themes and decorations. Here are some pictures I took at the Denver Meow Wolf (“Denver’s Convergence Station”):

You can see a speaker/strobe in this photo:

I’ve been to the one in LV, it has a Notifier 3030 with L-series speaker strobes. Super fun experience.

Unmarked Genesis LED devices huh? Odd…

You know, that’s the second ceiling-mounted NS I’ve seen: no idea why in both cases the installers thought it would work there given the reflector is designed for wall-mounting.

What do you suppose that green-lens Commander is for?

I’ve seen at least one horn/strobe like that one (though I have also seen a number that are surface-mount models as well).

What kind of panel is that? I don’t believe I’ve seen one like it.

It is a Hochiki Latitiude. I have only seen 2 Hochiki systems, and both were in Texas.

I couldn’t find any other evidence of a fire alarm system here, most Love’s locations I’ve been to don’t even have a fire alarm system. Still better than that residential smoke alarm in the other one I posted about.

The alarm looks like it’s on its last legs. Still better than nothing at all though.

Two Ansul pull stations huh? Odd. Not sure I’ve ever seen one with an inspection tag hanging from it either.
