I have a love’s truck stop in my city that opened in 2021, and I found a firex G6 in it!!! If memory serves me right, those were discontinued decades ago.
You’re right: the G-6 & similar models go at least as far back as the 1990s, & I believe they had been discontinued for some years leading up to Kidde’s 2009 purchase of FireX (no idea then how a G-6 ended up in a 2021-built Love’s, unless someone cut corners again (was there any building there prior to the Love’s?).
None of the other love’s locations I went to had them.
That’s a fail. @PhotoElev wouldn’t approve.

Wheelock Exceeder HSRC Horn/Strobes in Wegman’s (Set on 115CD but possibly higher)
Edwards NAs on a Siemens system huh? That’s odd…(the panel also appears to be a Siemens MXL-IQ, & a rare white cabinet model no less (since normally MXLs in general come in black cabinets)
Same Meow Wolf behind the Omega Mart ARG huh? Rather neat.
Was there also English lettering on the signs in the first photo? (since all that’s visible in it is Spanish lettering)
Wonder how they could have possibly mounted the speaker/strobe in the last photo upside-down like that…
The Meow Wolf with the Omega Mart is in Las Vegas. There was English lettering as well.
I know Omega Mart is in a completely different state to their Grapevine, Texas installation: that’s what I know Meow Wolf from though.
Ah okay, thought so.
POV: you look up at an addressable TrueAlert ES Speaker/Strobe and look back down just to realise you are looking at cursed lemons in the fruit aisle…
I was just at the Meow Wolf in Denver, CO. It has essentially the same setup, except the devices are much more hidden among the decorations (although surprisingly in a way that still seems up to code).
That last photo: Lol. They should have moved the box down, used a separate speaker and strobe, or moved the device to the ceiling (and of course replaced it with a ceiling mount version).
Yes they have several locations throughout the us, and they are all slightly different, but they all have incredibly confusing themes and decorations. Here are some pictures I took at the Denver Meow Wolf (“Denver’s Convergence Station”):
You can see a speaker/strobe in this photo:
I’ve been to the one in LV, it has a Notifier 3030 with L-series speaker strobes. Super fun experience.
