Hello,
I know many fire alarm enthusiasts play roblox. I love the alarms in roblox. One of my friends, reflectivewill owns simplex in roblox. I think the alarms in roblox are super cool.
I don't know much of anything about Roblox, but I am working on a FA system in Minecraft. I dunno why, but Minecraft feels more fun than any other sandbox game I've played. Maybe its the sense of constructing something out of what once was nothing.
On a side note to you Minecraft modders that may be on TFP, would you consider making a fire alarm mod? Maybe include smoke detectors that detect smoke particles, heat detectors that detect flames, sprinkler heads, fire alarm panels, and different types of signals? That would be cool to have, eh?
I’ve been working on fire alarm systems in the buildings on my minecraft server. They’re quite advanced and ridiculously small.
This one is called a MiniModular – it is a modular system that has voice evacuation using a new feature that is to be added in Minecraft 1.8.
This side is where the main control is.
Here is the other side showing the indicator lights for all 24 zones in this building. There’s 24 pull stations across 11 floors at 2 per floor, with the exception of the first floor, which has four, since it has more exits.
This is the same panel, I assembled it in a large room underneath another building and then copied it in using the new /clone command, another feature to be added in 1.8.
This is another panel design built by myself and another player. This one is different because it uses toggle-able signal circuits that can be turned on and off easily. There is a wall of lights on the other side of this room, just like the other panel.
This is a smaller panel that I put into a grocery store that someone built. Its dimensions are 8x5x2, so it is very small.
This is another small panel, except this one uses a zone list that is messaged to the nearest player using command blocks.
This is one of the older panels I have assembled and as you can see it is very basic in comparison.
This is my latest project, using lots of redstone logic circuits. I added a graphic annunciator and a wall of lamps that tells you first what was activated and where in the building it is located. It is not finished yet…
Here is a close-up of the graphic annunciator, which is HUGE. Good thing Minecraft has plenty of underground space.
Quick Alert is also working on a line of fire alarm panels.
Here’s one I have been working on: Quick Alert REMPAN Ideal for small buildings that need extra protection
Rempan stands for Remote Panel. The panel is located in our state of the art protected warehouse, and the main controls are in the property. This provides extra safety, and allows the alarms to work even after the building is totally destroyed. It is also very ideal for small places, because our annunciators can be as small as 1X3X2 blocks.
