FireAlarmGuy12's Smoke and Heat Detection Collection

Too many to practically list. This isn’t all of it either, as I’ve got some stuff stuck in the mail

Wow it’s grown a lot!

(Ignore the Faraday Strobe)

Simplex 2098-9202
Fenwal CPD 7015
Simplex 4262-601

Rare fenwal! Also, a Simplex UFO detector (although the E60s by Wheelock look like UFOs ngl). Nice acquisitions!

Simplex 4259-42 Duct Detector. Taking the cover off requires bending the shit out of the top of it to get it over a small metal tab, and this is a major pain in the ass to do. And no, these are not ion, they are actually photo.

Simplex 2098-9642

Whiffle ball: big box edition :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyways, never seen anything like that.

If you were talking about the duct detector, those are in no way related to the whiffle ball detectors.

(As I’m sure you know) The whiffle ball detectors are rebranded Hochiki detectors, whereas that duct detector is a rebranded Pyrotector.

I actually do know they’re rebranded Hochikis, but I didn’t know the duct one was a rebranded Pyrotector.

Another Simplex 4262-601 (ignore the Hochiki base, I’ve got some heads coming eventually) and Pyrotronics DI-2D

Update on the DI-2D: Got the official flush mount backbox today. Looks clean AF with the box on it

No s**t Sherlock. That looks fire!

DB-4LS base for the DI-4A (now I need another DI-4A for the DB-4S)

Hochiki SLG-24 with HA-L220 base. The detector head was literally only $5 and just needed some cleaning (which I did). Works flawlessly.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the one on the left. You’re good at this

Hochiki PID-C2. The base for this was missing a head for a while because the seller took ages to ship the head.

Simplex 2098-9635 with 2098-9528 base. This detector is the exact same thing as the Hochiki SLG-24 I have, but I just wanted the Simplex rebrand as well.

And yes, these are the predecessor to the -9636 (SLG-24F) heads, being just a few years older.

5x Simplex 4259-36 (not gonna keep all 5, so keep your saved searches on eBay ready)

1x National Time and Signal 344 (no base unfortunately)

Love those vintage smokes! Keep on rollin’!

Hochiki DFE-135 with HSC-221L base. Both parts to this detector feel very cheaply made, and this is my second modern Hochiki device (the other being a rebranded Commander 4)

Never seen a Hochiki heat detector like that in any building or anywhere other than here at all. Great acquisition.
