That’s the thing “Getting ready” to run Linux so you don’t have them ready yet? Brandon I wish you would reconsider till you learn a little more on this subject.
Off Topic: There is a saying with computers: Are you a Idiot Yes? No? If yes: Macintosh. If No: Windows. Do you have a life?:Linux. What your going to do will involve a lot of hair tearing out, I am not stopping you just warning you. YOU WERE WARNED…
Some of the posts in this thread are not particularly helpful. Why not give Brandon the information he needs, and let him determine if he’s in over his head once he gives it a shot. There’s nothing to lose - you can only advance your abilities by taking on new challenges.
The reason why I was being so secretive is that I actually do have something to lose.
With the help of John, Ryan and I are developing an alarm receiving system that uses this kind of technology to make phone calls and transmit a voice message, send emails, and send text messages.
It has not been officially announced yet. When we do finish the project, I will make an official announcement including pricing information as I have to pay for phone service in order to do this.
I am trying to not reveal a lot because of competition reasons. If I reveal my secrets to how the program works, someone else could develop one too and compete with me.
With all the features it has it would take a long time UL has to test every single one of those features. From what it sounds like Andrews device won’t have as many features as the 4007es.
