Hooking a phone to a DACT?

The floor can harm someone…

Yeah the UL tests walls and floors as well. They test them for fire resistance and drop resistance so when you drop say a turkey it doesn’t shatter the floor into 100’s of pieces. And the wall they test it makes sure it gives time to get out before it burns the wall down. Anymore questions that I can answer about the UL?

Hahaha so wood can burn unlike wood?? Lol UL still sucks.

Not my point but I recommend we get back on topic.

NOW you realize…

Andrew, good luck! Is there any time frame?

Okay, first of all, I just edited lots of posts in this topic to remove extreme amounts of stacked quotes. It made the replies difficult to read. Everyone PLEASE stop quoting the post directly above! It causes the quotes to stack and crowds the topic. phpbb has a limit to the number of stacked quotes you can have in a post so after four it breaks and turns into a mess.

I do not intend to UL list this system or put any kind of warranties on it. Reason being is its purpose is only to notify a person’s phone and there’s no guarantee they are able to answer that phone to begin with. This is not intended to be a substitute for someone in the house (Not intended for commercial use) calling 911, it is merely a way for a person to know there is a problem at their house while they are away. It will NOT dispatch the police or fire department.

As for a time frame, I do not know yet so far but I am expecting to get the phone service tied in and get the system able to receive signals from DACTs by the end of September. Still need to debug some stuff on the server side and fix a few issues here and there. One of them being the voice message that plays when you answer a call says “Hel” instead of “Zone [whatever]”
