Make Up a System (2.0)

The New Princeton High School was built in 1982, but has a distinctive “70’s” look to it - with oddly sized windows and a ridged copper roof. It is located across the street from its former location (which is now condominiums). Far from sprawling, it is a compact, L-shaped building with three floors.

The gymnasium and cafeteria are located in the original wing (the wider “arm” of the L), while the auditorium is at the corner separating the old wing and the 1992 addition.

Control
The system is an 8-zone Simplex 4002, which replaced an Autocall panel. It is located toward the front of the school, in the main office. There are also 4602-9102 remote annunciators located at the front and back exits.

Initiating devices
In the original wing are System Sensor 2400’s, most of which are duct detectors - I believe the model number for these is DH100ACDCLP. These are paired with System Sensor RA400Z remote indicators.
The cafeteria kitchen has Chemtronics “button” type heat detectors.
The pull stations here are Autocall 4050-44 “LOCAL ALARM” pull stations.

The new addition has Simplex 2098 TrueAlarms, and 2099-9754 pull stations. In the gymnasium, these are protected by 2099-9800 wire guards.
There are duct detectors here as well, but they are configured for supervisory rather than alarm, and are paired with 2098-9806 remote test stations.

Notification devices
The old wing has Space Age AV-34 light plates with Federal Vibratone 450’s (63 mA version with B4 grille). These are on NAC 1, which is set to march time.
The gymnasium has two AV-32’s, and two V-33’s behind wire guards. The horns are located diagonally from each other.
The cafeteria has a similar setup, but the AV-34’s are facing the same way, and there are four V-33’s on the ceiling.
On the first floor at the corner of the auditorium is an unmarked V-33 with a clear lens.
The outdoor signals are Vibratone 450’s as well, though one was replaced by an AH24-WP.

The new wing has Simplex 4903-9422 sync horn/strobes, with 4903-9305 sync strobes in the classrooms and restrooms. Both the horns and the strobes are connected to NAC 1, meaning the strobes flash in fast march.
The auditorium has Simplex 4903-9301 sync speaker/strobes which run off a 4003 voice control panel. The 4003 plays its default message, and is powered off of NAC 2, which is set to continuous.
Outside the auditorium, there is an MT-24-WM set to code 3 horn, which is also connected to the continuous NAC.

This elementary school has 632 students total.
