Northville Shopping Mall was built in 1997 and had a very rich history
(If you hate chunky text. Continue with caution!)
It was originally built in 1997 as Ville Shopping mall and was built by James Properties Corp. The system was a Simplex 4002 panel with 5 Simplex 4009-9201 panels due to the large size. Signals were Simplex 2901-9838s on 4903-9101 light plates. Pulls were Simplex 2099-9754 T bar stations. Smokes were 2098-9642 smoke/heat combo detectors. In 1998 James Properties Corp went bankrupt and then the mall was sold to Kate Mall Industries. (For info the anchor tenants are as follows: Belk, Dillards, Sears, JCPenney, and Sam’s Club). JCPenney had for their system Wheelock MT horn/strobes set on bell, a Fire-Lite Miniscan 424A, and BG-10s. Belk has Wheelock AS horn/strobes, ADT BG-12s and a Fire-Lite MS-10UD-3. Sears has a Fire-Lite MS-10UD-3 fire alarm control panel. Sam’s Club had a Silent Knight 58008 panel with Bosch T bars. Signals are Spectralert Advance Ceiling mount horn/strobes with about 3 EH horns scattered around. There are also Gentex SHGs for emergency doors. Dillards had a Fire-Lite MS-9200UD with Fire-Lite BG-10s and Wheelock EH horns for signals. In 2001 a EH in the Sam’s Club broke and was replaced with a Classic spectralert.
The final school in the River Falls school district that there is to do is Westside elementary school. This is how the system for the school has the horns placed.
