Due to the oil-filled capacitor in the panel for BAE HS draining over time, the 4903s and TrueAlerts eventually died and were replaced with SpectrAlert Advances.

The Justin W. Kiriakis Intermediate School has 600 students that are in grades 5 and 6. This is their system.

An interesting fact: The Crotched Mountain school, in the Pierce building, on the ground floor hallway just off the other building, got a Simplex 4051 (or 4050), the 4051 (or 4050) was recycled! Wow! (With 4050-xx light)
That was a while after the hallway got new walls and a new drop ceiling! It was installed into the hallway in 2002 or 2001!

It was in continuous, so the light stayed lit steady.

Stepford Public Library

This library opened in the mid-1980’s, and has a Simplex 4010 system with a 4003 voice control panel and a 4606 annunciator at the main entrance. Like many of the systems in Stepford, CT, the system’s conventional initiating devices were replaced with addressable devices, but the signals were left intact.

  • The smoke detectors are Simplex on 4098-9601 addressable smoke detectors on 4098-9788 bases. Some of the smaller rooms have 4098-9794 sounder bases.

  • The pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 single-action addressable stations.

  • The signals are Atlas SAV-3-60 speaker/strobes. On the ceilings, restrooms, and small rooms, there are Atlas SV22-2 remote strobes. Yes, even in the pre-ADA days, the perfectionists on the Stepford Town Council had requirements for strobe coverage.

  • The outdoor signals are Atlas VT-157UCR 70.7 volt speakers, each with a Wheelock WM3T-24 mounted above it.

Doesn’t the TruAlert need to be coded from an outside device, or is that only true for certain ones? I understand it’s a made up system, and you have creative liberties. Forgive me if I sound rude, I’m only trying to understand.

You are correct, there are no coding options on TrueAlerts. It must be coded from a panel or other device as you said. Considering that is a made up system, there are many possible ways they could have done this.

Maybe the conventional version of the LED TrueAlert will have a Code 3 option?
