Make up a system

I guess so. You know, with my Aspergers I really do like setting up unique systems that could in theory be possible but I fear that this topic may be on its last legs… Oh well! Got to make the best of it!

Edwards 270-spo thought building

Colorado School Of Arts, built 1919,1938,1950,1963,1975/76,

In 1938, the art center was built. the system was an old gamewell coded panel, with holtzer-cabot coded pulls, and gamewell pulls. In 1943, the school decided to put a Gamewell mastertime box at the main entrance. In 1950, the bells were replaced with Federal Signal horns. In 1963, a new building was built. The system was a standard electric panel, standard round pulls, and IBM 4031-2 horns. In 1971, the original buildings system was installed because of fire codes with a standard electric panel, simplex 4251 chevron pulls, and simplex 4040s. In 1975, a dormitory was built. They had a Simplex 4208 and 4051s with 4050-82s with no β€œFIRE” lettering. The pulls were 4251-30s, and they had 4255-1 heat sensors. In 1976, a girls dormitory was built. They had a Simplex 4207 with Simplex 4051s with 4050-80 remote lights. The pulls were 4251 chevron pulls. They had 4255-2 heat sensors. In 1978, the 4040s covers were taken off and put on standard light plates. In 1979, they built a music hall/auditorium. They put in a 2120 system tied to a 2001, and simplex 2902 life alarm speakers on 2903-9002 light plates. They pulls were simplex 4251-30GA pulls, and the smokes were 2098 β€œwhiffle balls”. The bathrooms had simplex 2904-9002 lights. They had an overstock 4208 cabinet next to the 2120 full of simplex addressable modules. In 1980, all of the simplex 4207/4208s were replaced with simplex 2001s. They were set to march time. In 1983, the 1963 buildings system was replaced with a 2001, with simplex 2903-9102s with simplex 2901-9333 bells. The pulls were simplex 4251-20s. In 1985, the office was built. they had a simplex 4001 with simplex 4251-20s, and simplex 2903-9101s with 2901-9833s and 2098 smokes. In 1988, all of the simplex 4255-1/2s were replaced with 2098 whiffle ball smokes. In 1990, a new school was built for PRE-K through 6th grade was built. It had a simplex 4002 with 4901-9001 light plates with 2901-9333 bells, and 4251-30 pulls. The smokes were 4098 smokes. The restrooms had remote 2904-9001 lights. In 1993, the standard panels were gutted, and had 4020 panels installed INSIDE them. In 1995, the fine arts center was built. They had a 4100U system with Simplex 2902 speakers on simplex 4903-9105 strobe plates. They had simplex 4099-9003 pulls with simplex 4098 old style truealarm smokes. In 1996, the 4040s below the standards were replaced with 2901-9838 horns without covers. Since the standards were 11 feet above the floor, 2 fell and the fall broke the lenses. They were replaced with 4904-9001 vertical strobes with no housing on the standards. In 1999, in all of the buildings, simplex 4606 Annunciators were installed near every main enterance. In 2004, all the 4051s on the 4050-82s were taken off. they put truealerts horns where the 4051s were on the 4050-82s. the 4051s above the 4050-80 remote lights were replaced with truealert horns also in 2005.In 2013, the incandescent fixtures in the 4050-82s and 4050-80 remote lightS with xenon strobe fixtures. They also put simplex truealert weatherproof horn strobes outside all of the buildings. In 2014, a new building will be built by the 1919 building. It will have a new 4100ES, simplex 4099-9003s with eService modules, 4098 addressable smokes with eService modules, Simplex truealert ES’s, and Simplex truealert ES weatherproof horn strobes.

Name of School: William Penn Elementary School
Year Built:1950
1950 brought the first hallway, consisting of a Gamewell Coded system with Simplex single stroke bells. Unknown pulls.
In 1969, the school was added onto with a second floor and a Art wing. They took out everything in favor for a Simplex Noncoded system with Simplex 4040(?)s and Chevron noncoded pulls. Unknown Panel.
In 2000, with more and more kids joining, they added and renamed the wings: The main hall as the A wing, the art wing as the B wing, and they added the Gym wing (C wing) and the Kindergarden/Student Support wing (D wing.)
They slapped simplex t-bars in with a 4010 panel with ZAMs over the old pulls. The horns were upgraded to TrueAlerts.
In the end of year in 2002, a kid got into the 4010 panel with a B key, and since the installer kept the default code, the kid screwed around and jacked the panel up.
In September 2003, when the principal pulled the alarm for a fire drill, it did not work. When Simplex came in, the panel was screwed.
In October 2003, with a replacement 4010 in place, the school board noticed the budget slipping away-fast. They overthrew simplex and installed a Siemens RCC 1F system with MS501 adressable pulls and UMMTs. With this, the school added an elevator with recall service. The system is still here today.

Goodwill
Built 1976
The original system was a Simplex 4208. The ANN was a 4208 ANN. The pulls were Simplex 4251-30s with Simplex 2901-9833s. In 1979, A fire destroyed the left side. So they gutted and Abandoned the building. In 1986, a new building was built. The left side was a Kmart. The middle was a McDonalds. The right was a Goodwill. The system was three Simplex 4002s tied together and Simplex 2904-9103s on the walls and Simplex 2901-9806s on the ceilings. In 2001, the 4002s were replaced by a 4020, and the pulls were replaced by Simplex 4099-9003s, and the 2901-9806s with truealert horns, and the 2904s remained.

Hotel Aspen
Built 1974/2001
Had a Simplex 4208 system with Simplex 4251-30s and Simplex 4050s on 4050-82s and Simplex 4255-1 heat detectors. In 1986, The panels relay went out, and sent 120 volts to the 4050-82s. So the system had to be replaced. So they put in Simplex 4251-20s and 2901-9806s on 2903-9102 strobe plates. They put in 2098 whiffle balls too. The rooms had Simplex 2904-9103s and 2901-9833s too. In 1987, they added a pool. They had Faraday Chevrons, and Faraday 6020 horns. The strobes were 2904-9101s. In 1999, they announced Hotel Aspen will move and be changed to the Hotel Denver And Old Chicago. So in August 1999, They started building a new wing to the old wing. The new wing is 32 floors high and 1500 feet wide. The building was finished in 2004. The system was so big they had to build a Fire command center that was 60 by 100 feet. The panels are 2 4120 panels tied to 2 4010 panels, a 4020, and 5 4005 panels. Each floor had 1 4009 NAC extenders. The alarms were Simplex 4903 truealert speaker strobes, and Simplex 4099-9003 pulls. The smokes are 4098 truealarms. The 2903s had 4902 truealert speakers installed where the 9806s were. The 6020 horns were replaced with truealert speaker strobes. The rooms had 4904-9357 ceiling strobes in every room and in the restrooms, and the bedrooms had 4902 truealert speakers. The alarms were all addressable.

120VAC won’t kill 4050-82’s, that’s what they run off of.

Columbia Middle (K-8) School:

  4. The middle school art room has a Space Age Electronics 2DCD+AV32 light plate

  5. And the science lab has a Edwards 892-2B horn strobe

Opps, meant 220VAC.
