A school built in 1959 has Edwards single-stroke bells and Edwards coded pull stations.

In the '70’s, an addition was put in. The new system included 4051+4050-80’s, 4251 T-handles and it added some devices to the older section as well.

The '80’s brought a new 2-story addition with the same stuff as the '70’s addition. It burned down and was rebuilt in the late '80’s with 4251 pull stations, smoke detectors and 2903+2901-9806 alarms.

The '90’s brought in a 4005 panel and replacement 4903-9219 and 4903-9237 horn/strobes for the hallways. Five 4050-80’s remained.

Sometime between the '80’s and '90’s, SAE 2DCD horns on SAE V33 light plates came in.

2004 brought in a 4903-9237 replacing a 4051+4050-80 in the lobby.

That same year, a TrueAlert replaced another 4051+4050-80 in the band room.

2007 removed all the remaining 4051+4050-80’s and replaced them with newer MT’s set to continuous horn.

That’s what’s there now.

(whoa! that wasn’t made up at all! That was my junior high’s system!)

Yes, I meant Edwards, that was a mistake on my part.

High School, has almost the same set-up as NewAgeServer’s. Don’t know why, but I find that system intriguing. Hope he doesn’t take it the wrong way. Anyway, its a high school. It’s named the David L. Walters High School.

  1. Simplex 4903-9237s in hallways and most of the area that are in the school that other alarms weren’t put. The basement has them incredibly low pitched, the first floor has them on a normal pitch, the 2nd floor has them on high pitched.

  2. Simplex 4903-9219s in the bathrooms, also in the Physical Education Center, Science Labs, Agriculture Room, Pottery Room and Conductive Education Unit.

  3. Simplex 2903+2901-9806s on the third floor.

  4. SAE 2DCD alarms in the ESL Room, Library Work Room, TV Studio, Enrichment Room, Technical Drawing Area & Special Resources Rooms

  5. TrueAlerts in the Spanish Room, Greenhouse, Band Theory, Home Ec Room and FCE Room

  6. Simplex 4051s in the Theater, Food Service Area, Elevator Room, Auditorium and Media Center

  7. Wheelock MTs in the Student Council Room, Woodworking Area, Debate Room, Both Art Rooms and Culture Arts Center

Here are the alarms at St.Mark Elementary School.

The school was built in 1950. It had Edwards And Simplex single-stroke bells, With Simplex 4263-10 pull stations. The panel was an IBM 4201-4.
Then, In 1970, The System was replaced with an Edwards System. The
panel was An Edwards custom 6500. The alarms were Edwards 10" Bells
set to march time as in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-k6ZSqZBD8 this video. The Pulls were Edwards 270-SPO’s. In 1980,
4050-80 light plates were added to the 10" bells. Finally, In 2005, The
school had a major update. Upstairs, The classes had Simplex RSS strobes. The principal’s office had An Edwards 2998 Panel (I made it up)
Along with a Simplex 4009 annunciator panel (Another panel I made up).
The pulls in the office was 1 Simplex T-Bar, And An Edwards 278B-1110.
The rest of the school had Edwards 270-SPO’s. The Alarms were Mircom Select-A-Horn/Strobes.

Oh Yeah. Here’s some parts I left out from the 2005 update.

On the main floor, There’s a Simplex 4603-9101 Annunciator panel at the
main entrance. In the basement, Where the gym is and the janitor’s room
is, The janitor’s room has a Simplex 4603-9101 also, As well as portable
#1 and 2. The portables have Edwards Integretys, With Edwards 278B-1110 pulls. Oh, And the alarms are set to code 3.

Several parts of the school have AMT’s instead of the normal alarm, and terminal 1’s tone is Horn for the fire alarm, and terminal 2’s tone is Siren for the security system. Strobes do not flash on activation of the security system.
