Well i got some new devices….
MAPNET T-Bar and GA 270-SPO. Cool rare devices
Ermm actually its a 270P-DPO🤓
Oh wow, look at that! Reminds me of these “decimal code transmitter” stations kcin556 once had:
Vintage Honeywell W854 “Decimal Code Transmitter” Coded Pull Stations (youtube.com)
Funnily enough I just got a super-rare “B&B Engineering Corporation” fire alarm box myself (it doesn’t have any internals though so it doesn’t work).
My pull and nicks pulls only have one thing in common and thats is they’re both electrically driven. The rest is different
- my pull has an actual switch meaning the lever serves an actual purpose
- instead of using a decimal coding method; my pull uses a code wheel and a reed switch
- the back on my pull is smaller and they’re less componets in my pull
Only one of the two stations he demonstrates in that video doesn’t have a switch: the other one does.
So basically like pretty much any other coded pull station then?
So I see.
Yes. It has three code wheels one has teeth and the other two have notches. Theres also three reed switches Accompanying those aforementioned code wheels
Woah, it’s from 2003! Until now, I think the latest date code I had seen on an S464A was from 2001. I wonder if they remained in production beyond that point. I typically associate these pull stations with installations from the '70s and '80s, so it seems crazy to me that they were still being made in the new millennium.
Yeah; i’m not too sure when the S464 and S465’s were discontinued. I’m pretty sure the deltanet was discontinued in the late 90s
A possible reason for S46-series production continuing into the 2000s is maybe because Honeywell had no other metal pull stations that they could offer for outdoor applications (aside from perhaps the BG-8/BNG-1 but Honeywell didn’t always own Notifier & Fire-Lite).
I think it was for clients who liked the old S464’s and wanted to keep using them; also i think this was the only OEM pull for the old addressable deltanet at the time
Neat! Shame there’s no brand name on the front though: those have been found with several different brands throughout the years, though the model number always seems to be “FA-50” regardless, & no one supposedly knows who the original maker is either.
I’ve seen some that have been rebranded by some washington based companies
Those are likely just service companies rather than actual manufacturers: as I said the original maker of the FA-50 is supposedly not known.
An addressable 4251-30 huh? Neat! What’s the model number, do you know?
