Daaaaaaaaaaaaayum! Then that means it’s rare!
Yes indeed! I found it on eBay
That’s a neat one! The addressable module looks surprisingly compact for its age; it’s quite a contrast with the massive Edwards pull station/transponder you recently acquired.
I was thinking the same thing—this seems to be a rather uncommon version. I’ve come across these pull stations once (at a hotel in Boston), although I doubt that they were addressable models as the building appeared to have a newer EST system:
Interestingly, I’ve seen a photo of a 4050 with the older-style black body and later “Thorn Autocall” branding. I wouldn’t have expected such a variant to exist, and I have no idea if it’s older or newer than this one.
It’s funny because the transponder/pull assembly was made in '99 while the autocall pull was made in '92
Probably had some new ones left over in stock tbh.
No I think they were still supporting the ESA-2000 in '99
Same thing happened with the Simplex 4100 Classic, but they supported it longer I think.
Cursed Cerberus Pyrotronics
Actually it’s not cursed, its real
I decided to buy one of my holy grails, a gamewell m46-30. Now this pull had and still has some issues, first of all I had to replace the front cover because the cheap mild steel screw snapped off ( god forbid they use stainless steel screws ) and the back housing on the toggle switch is loose, the switch sounds normal tho. It’s also missing the little stainless steel bezel for the keyswitch. Despite all its issues its a fairly solid pull
General alarm century. I think @HenBasket owns one.
Yes he infact does, his is nicer than mine
It’s rare outside Canada nevertheless.
I don’t know why I didn’t post this sooner, I guess I forgot but I decided to get a first gen gamewell MS-95
I also compared the first and second generation modules
First gen century reminds me of…
