New LED System Sensor L-Series

Why would Simplex make it clear that their stuff is made for them by another company? (i.e. putting “ORIGINALLY MANUFACTURED BY HOCHIKI CORPORATION OF JAPAN” on the label) Also last I checked Hochiki has a factory in Mexico where they make Simplex’s stuff at.

Further proof that this is true is that in this Hochiki catalog from 2017 they specifically say “Many
of their customers are well-recognized companies such as Simplex (over 20 years)”:

System Sensor Just Emailed me this (As I subscribed to their email service).
Seems like its only a matter of time before collectors get it.

I would rather see more Gentex commanders then Wheelock Eluxa’s honestly.
And when Gentex does LED devices, I hope they do it right.

Nic’s Systems and Electric announced in a community post that he ordered a wall and ceiling mount one. He plans to do a full video on them as far as I know.

He won’t be the first person to make a video of them, but he will be the person in Canada to make a video of them.

Cool, I can’t wait to see Nic’s video. I might get one for Christmas.

of course landon has one

What would that sound like? Do you have an audio file?

And I forgot to post this when I got my LED L-Series on the 23rd, but I did get one. This makes me the 5th person to get one.

I got it from All-Data Resources, and no I was not the one who paid for this.
The first thing I noticed is that it has the texture of the plastic is different, also the test ports are holes that end on the back of the alarm.
Also, system sensor no longer includes paperwork with the device, it’s all QR-Codes now. Looks like installers are gonna have to print out the paperwork to comply with NFPA 72’s requirement of on-site paperwork for all of the system equipment.
The sound is the same as the Xenon L-Series, IDK how to get the Temporal 4 option though.

Seriously? That’s just stupid.

By that they might just mean that it can be coded to Temporal 4 by a panel (not that many have such a coding option I think but still).

Could the temporal 3/4 setting work the same way that it does on the Wheelock eluxa series?

Umm…something like Spectralert Classic.
My fault not making it clear :sob:

I think the T3/T4 option was scrapped, as the horn only models have not changed at all. Seems they either rushed to get them out the door, or decided not to go forward with it after pitching the idea

I don’t like the sound of that: it seems like every time something is rushed it turns out to be a tremendous failure.

Hochiki use to make the simplex smokes, simplex makes their own smokes now

Thats what i’m saying lol

I’m gonna look into the Temporal 4 setting.
Im gonna take the installation manual from the QR code, might make me the first enthusiast to look at the led l series installation manual
