Thanks. I am keeping my eye out for them. Soon I will replace some in some houses, so I will follow up on that. Also, on an unrelated note, my school is shut down because of the stupid corona virus.
Another weird and rare unit, the Can-Am Fire Angel FA-1. Never heard of this model or brand, I had no idea they existed. Reminds me a bit of the old Gamma alarms. Two are known to exist, Nathaniel/FireAlarmFan has the other. https://cdn.thefirepanel.com/legacy/2947_c1584dae5ccd3f7f5a63e98c8aa646f6.jpg

Thats a weird one. I didnt know that FireAngel was around when this was made (late 70s). Cool!
It looks awfully similar to the Entronic alarm you got a few days ago.

It’s not the same FireAngel as the UK brand, Fire Angel is the model name. It was made by Can-Am Electronics Corporation.
Come to think of it, the design does look really similar to the Vigilante ES-3. I hadn’t thought about that till I had them sitting next to each other by coincidence on my bookshelf.
How rare are the Vigilante es-3 alarms?
Also I found this on Google Images:
Tomorrow I am replacing the detectors in my new house. Be sure to look for a video!
Are you gonna keep the old detectors after you take them down for your collection or are you gonna junk them?
Of course I am keeping them. First Alert SA76RC and 2 Brk 769AC-i’s
Can we expect to see videos on them?
I will probably make a video on all my alarms pretty soon. I also will probably record myself replacing these detectors.
I noticed something with my Brk 1839acwi. The rings/vents go very far into the center like an sa80fc!
Okay so today I replaced the alarms. Sorry these pictures arent great because i took them with a built in webcam.

One more thing… This guy has TONS of NOS Brk 1200s, so get em while theyre hot!

The same guy has loads of these ESL models. I think these were recalled in 1981!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/293391779290
What was the reason for the recall? Do you know?
Okay, I messed upon the recall. This model wasnt recalled, and the recall was in 1983. Apparently they just didnt work.
Also apparently these were made in 1984.
Okay, remember this video? We theorized what detectors were in the video, and now I have confirmed them.
Detector 1: Brk 769AC-i. This is definitely it. The vents on a 769 are close to the center and dont go all the way to the edge, just like on the video. Also, the Brk horns sound like that because of the way they were made, with a higher tone modulated at 60hz. This is because the sheet-metal diaphragm had its own resonant frequency.
Detector 2: Cassady Gard-Site or a photoelectric JCPenney rebrand. I wish I could find out more information on these but a google search doesnt come up with anything.
Detector 3: First Alert sa76rc. The dot in the center is a marking. It starts up at 12:03 in a weird way because it has a low battery; at 11:31 you can hear it chirp. Also, I can just make out the pulses in the alarm sound if I listen closely.
Detector 4: General Electric 8201-401c Home Sentry. I knew these came out before 1985! at 12:26 you can hear it chirp. When it goes off you can hear the fast pulses. Also, at 8:52 there is a white-base GE!
Detector 5: ADT 7539 or 7545. These were made by ESL and recalled in 1983! This is the one you were thinking of with the Star buzzer. The other model was the 7535.
