Here are a few neat detectors I’ve spotted on eBay recently. https://www.ebay.com/itm/373139770944
NIB GE Home Sentry 8202-001, 2 available. A bit pricy but I’m consider going for one.

Gentex 110. Appears to be the successor to the GX-100 but I’m not positive. There are several available if you’d like to snag one for yourself.

Very cheap BRK 2839ACWI-TH. Basically a photoelectric 1839ACWI with an added thermal heat. Again there are several available, so if you want one get while they’re still hot!
Well guys my holy grail has just appeared on eBay, a First Alert SA76RS. I’m one of only very few people I think at this point in the community to not have one, so HOPEFULLY I win it. I just placed a bid so wish me luck
Hi guys, I’m new to the smoke detector world but I seem to have come across a very rare piece. A First Alert SA79TA Traveling smoke and fire detector.
I am going to put it up on ebay within the next week and was giving whoever was interested a heads up. No idea what these things go for but hope someone on this forum that enjoys this stuff wins.
Awesome score! Only two SA79TA’s are known to exist at the moment. I will definitely consider bidding when you list it. Does it come with it’s box or is it used?

Also I was at my Aunt’s house recently and I found some weird alarms:
SA76RS. The only thing odd is that the house was built in 1985, which seems late for an RS.
Weird Edwards alarm 1. A while back someone posted an unusual rectangular Edwards alarm. There is one there, its mounted in the basement. Not only is it already a rare alarm, but the label on the back is really striking-apparently it was originally a LINE CORD alarm that was converted to hardwired. So were they same one? Were there two versions? and how astronomically rare is this weird linecord thing if the only a couple of the standard versions are known to exist?
Weird Edwards alarm 2. This is completely different looking than the first one. Theres a little dial on the front that is used to test. I cant find any pictures of one online. This version was meant for wire-in installation according to the label, but the Interconnect wire is connected somewhere. There was no interconnect on the linecord alarm. So what is this weird model, and why is it interconnected? And how much more rare is it?
The good thing is that they said they would be happy to have me replace the alarms, so I will be glad to have an SA76RS and some weird Edwards homonculuses in my collection.
Okay, that house is full of weird alarms. Remember the supposed sa76rs?
Now that I think about it, I am not so sure about that.
You may remember this weird PCB owned by the CassetteMaster.
Well that looks familiar to what was in that alarm.
So was this a rare alarm? Is that what it even is? And what was its model number?
This is so weird…
That is cool Helen75 that you will be getting an SA76RS, but that is odd that the RS was in a house built in 1985 since the RS was last produced around 1979. My only guess is that it could have been brought over from another house? My Dad did that with the Westlclox Smoke Signal we had in my first childhood home. It was in the laundry room, when my family and I moved to our other home in 1981 he decided to take it down from there and bring it to the other home and also install it in the laundry room. Never understood why he just didn’t buy a new one at the time. Unfornately that detector was replaced in 1997 and I didn’t take it when I had the chance. Also that was before I had the internet and long before the days of Youtube. I moved out of the house in 2003 and my parents sold it a year later in 2004. But thanks to Ebay and this forum I have started up a cool collection of detectors/bell including the RS. I wish I could help you with the Edwards ones, they sound neat. If you get them I would love to see videos on them.
Hey Helen75 that weird looking PCB you thought was an SA76RS is supposedly a transitional model between the SA76RS and SA76RC. Going by some of the comments I read. It also had a pulse to it. Most squealer horns were continuous in those days. Very interesting. What did the cover on this one look like?

My guess is that it just sat on a store shelf for awhile
