Very nice! That’s a rare one for sure! Oh? Hmm…(to be fair though putting it that way kinda makes more sense since there’s fewer holes in that orientation)
Yeah, that’s what happens when a detector is from the 1970s, heh.
Mhm: the FG777 was specifically made without a test button: the FG777C is the clear test button version & the FG888C is the white test button version from what I’ve seen.
I don’t mean the test button, the test socket is the black circle on the PCB with the holes used for accessories. It’s rare to see one on a 77R type unit. here is an example on my Z700
Oh, okay. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a detector with anything plugged into a port like that though (I don’t even know how that would be done in the first place considering it seems like a plug intended for vacuum tubes to fit in).
My cool/rare stuff that includes modern and vintage. This isn’t all of my stuff obviously but just some alarms I want to highlight in my collection. Some notes to clarify confusion:
The Kidde KN-COSM-B is a rare version from 1999, making it a rare early model.
The more yellowed F900D is a Montgomery Wards version model 83-7-1650 00
The Fyrnetics 1285 is the earliest version known to exist (January 3, 1993).
The GE 8202-001 is an earlier model from 1975 with the Delta-Larm horn
oh yea ignore the FireX FADC up there, I forgot to put it somewhere else lol
Not sure if it should go here since it’s modern, but here’s an extremely rare First Alert P1000 in cherry wood I got today. This one was made in 2014 April 2. This color is the rarest one you can find that’s not a prototype, the 4 released colors were white of course, copper, polished nickel, and cherry wood being the rarest out of the 4. The other unreleased colors include black, ebony, brushed brass, hickory rustic, Kentucky oak, etc.
