The museum of science has a very interesting system. Those Gamewell century (aka. full moon) pulls are indeed found throughout most of the museums. The bells in those bell/strobes are made by Gamewell, but the strobes appear to be Simplex 2904 remote strobes (or lights) slapped onto the bell grilles. It was likely that the bells originally had no visuals, and that Simplex added the visuals on sometime in the 80s when they were servicing the system. I know that one alarm in the museum is a 10-inch bell behind a red grille with NO visual on it, so it is very likely that the 2904s were added later. BTW, where was this alarm picture taken? I don’t quite recognize that part of the museum.
The museum also has quite a lot of Wheelock 6-inch bells on non-ADA strobe plates, along with Wheelock E70s found in newer areas. The newer areas have Notifier BG-12 pulls, and BG-10s can be found in the cafe (along with old-style E70s). The theater of electricity and butterfly garden currently has Wheelock E70s and BG-12s, but used to have Simplex 4251-30 pulls and 10 inch bells behind grilles with remote 4050-80 lights. Many remains of old alarms covered up in that area can be found, and a couple old setups are even still intact! Overall, the museum has quite an interesting system.
BTW, why are some of your old pictures so large (taking up most of the screen)? I’m not trying to criticize you, but it does make the thread quite hard to read and scroll through.
