What is the next alarm in your quest?

Basically what I mean is what is the next alarm you really want to find and acquire for your collection. It can be an alarm, smoke detector or pull station.

First off I’m already on the hunt to find an Edwards 892-1B(one of my elementary school’s fire alarms).

But I’m curious on what everyone else is after.

I’ve been looking for a Simplex 4904-9105 strobe plate to pair with my 9840 to recreate the alarms in one wing of the elementary/middle school I attended.

Oh and just saying right now I did not mean to put this in the Fire Alarm Help Forum. If someone can have it moved to Fire Alarm General Discussion that would be nice.

Topic Moved.

At this point, All I’m really looking for is any Edwards device I don’t own yet, or any hard to find/rare alarms.

I’m looking for a 2903 Lightplate.

I’m really wanting either a simplex 4040 or 4050. We had those in elementary and they really scared the living sh*t out of me! But I still love em’

Oh, the fun of searching Simplex 4050 on eBay with your girlfriend around. Wonder if anyone will get this reference  . Anyway…

If the voltage isn’t important to you there’s actually a pretty good deal on one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Simplex-4050-Fire-Alarm-Horn-/251850198912?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa3710f80

I may have an extra 4050, but I’d have to check.

The next alarm I hope to get would be a Standard Electric horn-light, for the same reason it seems most other people have for their desires, it was in a school I used to attend.

Realistically speaking though, I like to pick up anything I don’t have, that way I never know what I will find next. Its always an adventure.

Gentex Commander 3

I’d love to be able to find an Autocall 4015 or a Standard Electric Time/Johnson Controls SFA-series pull station. There are 4015s that show up from time to time on eBay, but they are usually in rough shape. The Standard models just seem to be really rare, turning up once in a blue moon.

Hmm, I’m not sure. Maybe a BG-12 pull station of some sort, as my workplace has them. I would probably prefer the Fire-Lite -branded version, dual-action and non-addressable.
Another would probably be the Simplex 2903 light plate where you mount the audible signal on the front. I already have a strobe version though…

Simplex TrueAlert, Commander 3, or a 2903 w/ 4051

I’ve always liked the unconventional strobe-on-top design, tone selection, and aesthetic appearance of the Commander 3. I don’t see those or newer MTs enough. We have too many Spectralert Advances in San Antonio.

For me:
Uncommon alarms:
The USP 7002T knockoff with the strobe on top. There is one where the strobe is on the side and has the same (or nearly the same) font as the non-ADA MASS’. As I’ve mentioned before I almost had 2 but the :!: :?: USPS lost my money order. That’s when I switched to PP.
Pyrotector Phoenix smoke.
The old Gamewell M69 stations that were silver/black.

More common:
White Advance/Commander/MT.
GOS
SHG with the Commander’s sound

I second that (assuming you’re looking for the one with the vandal resistant grille) along with the strobe plate version. I’ve recently searched on eBay quite a few times for such retrofit plates to no avail.

I have an extra 2903 strobe plate. Maybe we could trade. I’ll PM you tonight.

looking to grab a white wheelock rss to accompany my newly acquired wheelock e50 speaker strobe. it would be nice to have a matching remote strobe to go with it.

I’ve got a ton of (used) white ceiling-mount RSSs that I don’t really need. PM me if you’re willing to buy or trade.

You know what I’m after(then again just about every collector who doesn’t have one), basically any form of Simplex 4050-80 series light plates.
How many other people are still looking for them?

Be honest(not to speak my personal troubles but) more recently, I nearly got 3 of them with 4051’s. But someone else was desperate enough and outbid me after $52. I felt defeated but theres still a whole lot of 4050-80’s left in the country.
